Amy is a graduate of East West College of Natural Healing (2013), 800 hour massage program where deep tissue, Swedish and myofascial techniques are focused upon. She also chose to study structural style of bodywork as well as craniosacral techniques. Her style of massage depends on the client on her table; Amy strives to provide bodywork that the client is requesting as well as what their bodies are asking for. This usually means that a variety of techniques will be used on the table.
She also enjoys talking with clients about their wellness journeys' and providing self care information to work on between sessions, because the work on the table is just the beginning to making changes in the body. Her passion for healthcare was sparked in 2007 when she moved to Portland, Oregon to study Psychology. When massage found her and she learned the deep effects of bodywork on all levels of the body, she knew that this was the key for enabling healing. The opportunity to be a part of the healing process for her clients is profound and she humbly respects every client's walk in life. In her free time, she escapes to the woods for hiking and hot springs as often as possible. She loves everything about this wonderful city of Portland and is so grateful and proud to be a part of the amazing community. Thank you for your interest in Medicine Tree Massage. I look forward to working with you. |
