What a great relaxing atmosphere. it is nice to get a massage with a personalized approach. Amy not only gives a great massage but also gives me advice on how to maintain my body with stretches and additional care.
Amy was Amazing! Been struggling with general stress and tension headaches for months now. Amy took the time to ask good questions to help pinpoint the best way to approach my issues. After 1 session, I'm feeling 10x better than before. I'm hooked! Looking forward to my future sessions
Amy is a top notch LMT. She's professional and very good at her trade. I'm a massage therapist myself, and I've been to many LMTs over the years, and I can truly say that Amy is among the very very best. Her space is so calming and comfortable, and the massage she gives is a great blend of relaxing and therapeutic. When I leave her office, I can count on feeling completely blissed out plus that feeling of having serious knots worked out. She has a great program for clients who receive monthly or twice monthly massage, which you'll probably want to sign up for once you experience how great she is. Highly recommend!
"I had a great experience with Amy! Her space is both calming and relaxing. She spent 60 minutes working on my neck pain and at the end I felt stretched and loose for the first time in a week. I recommend her for specific pain release massage."
“Amy is awesome! Gentle, sweet and a perfect touch. Listens carefully to what you say or ask. Highly recommended. Can't wait to see her again!”
“Amy is awesome! Gentle, sweet and a perfect touch. Listens carefully to what you say or ask. Highly recommended. Can't wait to see her again!” Having suffered with rotator cuff pain for a long time, I was lucky enough to have Amy help me out with this during the past summer, instantly making it feel better. I've also had the "signature massage," which has left me feeling rejuvenated and with far less stress than when I showed up at the office. Perhaps most important, I find that Amy is highly responsive to the client, which not every massage therapist is ... she wants to provide the massage you need, rather than the treatment she prefers to give. And that's a huge difference. Here's the kicker. I live most of the year on the east coast, but when I travel to Portland, visiting with Amy is always on my itinerary. (Not that we don't have massage therapists on the east coast, but I think she's exceptional.) Professional, communicative and expert ... she's the best.
I'm a week out from my massage with Amy and my body still feels like it's in a better place than when I walked into her office.
I recently had a 1 hour massage from Amy at her studio in NW Portland. I had been suffering with a lot of foot and lower leg pain, and asked her to concentrate on those areas. She did a wonderful job of stretching, relaxing and improving my pain in the session, and further showed me some exercises and techniques I could use at home. She also spent time on the entire body, and neck areas and has a great touch, and is very good at communicating during the session, utilizing the feedback I gave her. The space is very relaxing, is easy to find and has ample parking. I highly recommend Amy for anyone needing a professional, and courteous massage therapist. I look forward to many more sessions with her.
November 2012 I was involved in a hit & run accident caused by a drunk driver, and resulted in whiplash. The pain was small and annoying at first but increased dramatically and quickly. My energy level was shot, I couldn't move without being in pain and I was not positive, happy self anymore. During months of excruciating pain, leaving Amy was the only time I felt relief. I decided to have surgery on my cervical spine because the pain was too much for me. After my surgery (cervical laminectomy) I saw Amy more frequently, starting with very gentle work and adding more as the healing process continued. We set up goals we would like to see me make in healing and time frames we would like to execute these developments. These included getting off pain medication and being able to ride my bicycle again; these were two extremely important goals for me. Within 3 months, both of those goals were completed. Today, I ride my bicycle 10 miles a day and work 6 days a week, walking 15 miles a day, delivering mail. During my weakest, Amy was there making me stronger. I now believe that massages are a necessity and my body thanks and loves me (and Amy) for this new found way of life. If you are looking for someone who truly cares about your well being, has immense amounts of knowledge and hands made of love- you've found her! Congrats :)
I had been struggling with neck and back pain for a few years prior to working with Amy. Luckily, her skilled touch has helped me live life without the constant nag of pain. Not only is she friendly but she is skilled. Her goal is to give her clients' optimal attention and to relieve them of any pain they are suffering from. She is so professional and you know her intentions are completely pure. I trust her and I believe once you come in contact with her, you will as well.
